Bonfire pit rentals at the MAiZE!
Our private bonfire areas are nestled in the corn directly adjacent to The MAiZE and are a great option for all kinds of events including birthday parties, work events, customer appreciation gatherings, and any other kind of celebration. The bonfire areas are available August 31st through October 31st anytime The MAiZE is open to the public.

Small Bonfire Areas:
Small Bonfires 1 & 2:
- Small bonfire areas include two covered picnic tables, several benches around the fire pit, garbage and recycling cans. A power strip is available to plug in music, crock pots, etc. within limits of our power source (please do not bring electrical devices that require high voltage) Decorative lights will be turned on at night to light up the tent. The Maize staff will light a fire in the fire ring before your arrival and have extra wood on hand to keep the fire warm and cozy. Please indicate whether you do or do not want a fire lit for your rental period when filling out the form. Total area of the space is 30’ wide by 60’ long.
Small bonfire rental: $75/hour with a two hour minimum.
Large Bonfire Areas:
Large Bonfires 3 & 4:
- Large bonfire areas include four covered picnic tables, several benches around the fire pit, garbage and recycling cans. Bonfire FAQs and Information
Bonfire Reservations & Costs
- Four bonfire areas are available for rent with a two hour minimum. The booked time includes set up and teardown.
- Bonfires 1 and 2 hold a maximum of 25 people and are $75 per hour. Each area includes 2 covered picnic tables and several benches around the fire pit. Power is available in both areas.
- Bonfires 3 and 4 hold a maximum of 50 people and are $150 per hour. This area includes 4 covered picnic tables as well as several benches around the fire pit. Power is available in both areas.
- Full payment is required at time of booking to reserve and hold your space.
- Bonfires can be rented starting at 10 AM and ending at 4 PM (with bonfire closing at 6 PM) on Sunday-Thursday and starting at 10 AM and ending at 8 PM (with bonfire closing at 10 PM) on Friday & Saturday.
- MAiZE tickets are a separate cost from Bonfire costs. Tickets are $10/adult and $8/children and seniors and can be purchased here.
- Bonfire reservations are a rain or shine event.
- On the rare occasion that a burn ban is in effect on Sauvie Island in September, fires will not be available, however, the space will still be usable.
Bonfire Onsite Information
- Groups may bring in food and drink, but no alcohol. Catering trucks are not allowed.
- The Patio Cafe at the Pumpkin Patch has a full farm fare menu. Click here for food offered at the Patio Cafe.
- Bonfires will be started prior to arrival and there is additional firewood located in each bonfire area.
- Bonfire reservations book up quickly and they run back-to-back. Groups can begin setting up as soon as their reservation time starts and groups need to clean up and vacate the bonfire area when their time is up.
- Upon arrival at the Pumpkin Patch, group leaders should check in at the back of the MAiZE ticket booth located at the red and white tent to finalize payment and pick up group wristbands.
Bonfire Driving, Parking & Unloading
- Group leaders with set up equipment may park near the bonfire area (one car only), accessing the bonfire dropoff by turning left directly across from the main MAiZE sign, before the main paved Pumpkin Patch entrance. This area is accessed via a closed black metal gate that the group leader can open and close themselves upon coming and going.
- Other bonfire attendees must park in the main Pumpkin Patch parking area.
- Traffic - traffic to the Pumpkin Patch during the middle weekends of October can be heavy and can add up to an additional 30 minutes of travel time. Please plan accordingly.
- The MAiZE is past Bella Organic’s farm and is two miles after looping left off the Sauvie Island bridge.
